Large-item transport from the Netherlands across Europe
When goods are too large, too wide or too heavy for a standard parcel network, we move them directly — from the Netherlands to Belgium, Germany, France and beyond. One dedicated vehicle, no transshipment, and loading aids arranged when you need them.
Bulky and heavy goods, carried straight through
The Netherlands sits at the heart of North-West European freight, with Belgium, Germany and France within easy reach by road. For large-item shipments that fall outside parcel dimensions, XXLKoerier arranges a dedicated vehicle that stays with your goods from collection to delivery. There is no depot sorting, no shared load and no repacking at a hub — which keeps handling risk low for machinery, XL pallets, exhibition builds and single heavy pieces.
Because the vehicle is dedicated to your shipment, the route runs point to point across the border without changing hands. Transit time depends on the corridor, the loading requirements and vehicle availability, so we confirm it per request rather than promising a fixed window.

Own couriers nearby, partners for the long haul
Own couriers up to ~500 km
For the Benelux and the nearer German and French regions we run our own couriers, so one driver stays with your shipment across the whole route.
Partner network beyond
For longer distances into the rest of Europe we hand off to a vetted partner network of dedicated large-item carriers — still direct, still without transshipment.
Tail-lift & pallet-jack on request
Need help loading or unloading? A tail-lift, pallet jack or an extra pair of hands can be arranged when you submit the request.
CMR carriage and reverse-charge invoicing
International road transport takes place under carrier liability in accordance with the CMR convention that governs cross-border road carriage. We do not describe cargo as "insured"; where you need more cover, a higher liability limit can be arranged on request — just state the value and nature of the shipment when you submit.
For cross-border business-to-business shipments, invoicing follows the EU reverse-charge mechanism, so VAT is accounted for by the recipient in their own country rather than charged on our invoice. That keeps the paperwork clean for B2B senders and receivers across the EU.

About large-item transport in Europe
Which European countries do you cover?
From the Netherlands we run large-item and bulky transport to Belgium, Germany and France with our own couriers on the shorter routes, and reach the rest of Europe through a vetted partner network for longer distances.
Is my shipment transshipped along the way?
No. Your goods stay on one dedicated vehicle from collection to delivery — no depot handling and no repacking. That keeps handling risk low for large, heavy or awkward items.
How far do your own couriers go before you use partners?
As a rule of thumb we run our own couriers up to roughly 500 km — covering the Benelux and the nearer German and French regions — and hand off to partner carriers for the longer European routes.
How does VAT work for cross-border business shipments?
For business-to-business transport across an EU border we apply the reverse-charge mechanism: VAT is accounted for by the recipient in their own country.
